Within the narrative of Final Fantasy XVI, Elwin Rosfield serves as the Archduke of the Grand Duchy of Rosaria. This positions Elwin as a powerful individual within the realm of Valisthea and he is supported by his wife, Duchess Anabella, and Rodney Murdoch, Lord Commander of the Ducal Armies.
Elwin has two sons, Clive Rosfield and Joshua Rosfield. Following the fall of the Northern Territories, Jill Warrick also came under the care of Elwin and despite there being no obligation on his part, Elwin resolved to raise Jill as the daughter he never had.
It’s unclear how much of a role Elwin will have within the wider narrative of Final Fantasy XVI, but one thing is clear, he has a strong affection for his family and will do whatever he can to protect them.
