Following a successful run on the NES, Final Fantasy IV led the line for a new generation of gamers on the SNES and featured a much expanded cast of heroes and heroines to do just that.
Aside from having the largest number of protagonists to date, Final Fantasy IV also introduced some complex family relationships and some familiar faces.

Wanting to impress in a big way, Final Fantasy IV saw twelve protagonists at the players’ disposal. Throughout the game, we also saw some significant changes with regards to character development compared to previous installments that had appeared on the NES.
